About
With a passion for movement and mindfulness, I strive to help people maintain healthy flexibility through yoga, functional movement and bring the nervous system to a calm parasympathetic state to encourage rest and recovery. My classes focus on breath work, alignment, muscular engagement, restorative poses and sound healing to alleviate tension and release stress. This promotes overall health and balance.
I began my yoga practice at 22 and it has helped me balance and navigate the many transitions in my life. As a multi-sport athlete in high school, I went on to play Division 1 volleyball for the University of Connecticut (UCONN). While at UConn, I started my path and personal passion of being an educator and working with children. I have a masters degree in Education specializing in early childhood. I have taught elementary and preschool grades as well as been a director of a highly accredited preschool in Lake Forest, IL. I am also a parent to two boys who followed the path of athletics through college and helped in supporting and guiding them throughout their own athletic endeavors. By combining all my skills as a parent, teacher, leader, athlete, coach, and motivator, I have a unique ability to guide individuals from varying ages and where they are to help them achieve their goals and needs. Providing opportunities for individuals to improve their overall well-being and create a positive impact on their lives.
I currently live in St. Petersburg, FL with my husband of 32 years, Troy and Great Dane, Odie for the past 3 years. We have two boys, Jaxon, now 25, played football at University of Dayton and graduated in 2020. Rylie, 21, plays football at Notre Dame and will graduate May 2023.
Prior to St. Pete, my family and I lived in Illinois, Connecticut and overseas in Germany and Ireland. I love to spend time with my boys, travel to watch them play in their games and explore and experience new things.
